Former ALICE IN CHAINS Guitarist Buys New Los Angeles Home
June 14, 2005Former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell has just bought his first Los Angeles home which has been kept up in the vintage 1930s style. There is a guest house that will be turned into a studio.
Cantrell recently spent time at Doug Fieger's studio in Los Angeles recording new music for his upcoming solo release. Jerry was joined in the studio by Chris Wyse on bass and Stephen Perkins on drums (both ex-JANE'S ADDICTION). Cantrell's new tunes are said to be sounding "amazing," with one track reportedly featuring Doug Fieger on slide guitar.
As previously reported, CARDBOARD VAMPYRES, the new "covers" band featuring Cantrell and ex-THE CULT guitarist Billy Duffy, will be opening for JUDAS PRIEST and QUEENSRŸCHE on Saturday, July 2 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
